Weddings & Baptisms
The Sacrament of Holy Baptism at S. Margaret’s
Anyone who lives in the parish or can demonstrate some kind of historical or familial link with S. Margaret's (or S. Chad's) can request to be baptised in S. Margaret’s Church.
There are certain preparations before this takes place. The first step in the process is to come along to the Parish Office Hour in the Canon George Communuity Hall on a Thursday evening at 6:30 (please check on the calendar page to ensure the office is open on the Thursday you plan to come).
Baptisms normally take place on a pre-arranged Sunday of each month and you should have a date confirmed for you before you make arrangements for the baptism reception and book reception venues.
At S. Margaret's we DO NOT celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism during the season of Advent (the four weeks before Christmas) or during the season of Lent (the six weeks before Holy Week).
In the case of emergency i.e. A child with a life threatening condition please contact Fr. David direct.
